The CogBot AI assistant is a software tool that processes market data and executes user-directed commands. CogBot's analysis, commentary, and trade suggestions are generated by a third-party language model and should not be interpreted as professional financial advice. All trading decisions are made solely by the user.

CogCharts connects to your existing brokerage account(s) through their published APIs. Orders are routed to and executed by your broker, not by CogCharts. You are solely responsible for all orders placed through the software, including those initiated via CogBot AI or automated alert-to-order pipelines.

No Performance Guarantees

Past performance is not indicative of future results. Any trading results, P&L figures, equity curves, or performance statistics shown in screenshots, marketing materials, or within the software itself are for illustrative purposes only and may reflect paper/simulated trading or the developer's personal account. They do not represent typical results and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future performance.

Simulated or hypothetical performance results have inherent limitations. Unlike actual trading, simulated results do not represent real trades and may not account for market impact, slippage, liquidity, or the emotional factors that affect real trading decisions.

Market Data Accuracy

Market data displayed in CogCharts is sourced from third-party providers including your connected broker(s), Yahoo Finance, and other data services. CogCharts does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data. Real-time data availability depends on your broker's data subscriptions and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Always verify prices and order details with your broker before placing trades.

AI-Assisted Trading Disclaimer

CogBot AI uses third-party language models (Claude, OpenAI, or user-configured local models) to analyze market data and execute user-directed actions. AI-generated analysis may contain errors, hallucinations, or outdated information. AI models do not have real-time market awareness beyond the data explicitly provided to them.

Orders placed through CogBot are executed at your broker with the same effect as manually placed orders. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-suggested actions before confirming execution. CogCharts is not liable for losses resulting from AI-assisted trades.

Software Disclaimer

CogCharts is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. CogCharts does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or compatibility with all broker configurations. The software may experience bugs, data errors, connectivity issues, or order routing failures. You acknowledge that trading software carries inherent technical risks.

CogCharts shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the software, including but not limited to trading losses, data loss, missed opportunities, or system failures.

API Keys & Data Privacy

CogCharts stores your broker API credentials and AI API keys locally on your machine in encrypted form. When using the optional cloud sync (Pro tier), settings data is transmitted to and stored on CogCharts servers. Regulatory Notice

CogCharts is a self-hosted desktop application. It is the user's responsibility to comply with all applicable securities laws, regulations, and broker agreements in their jurisdiction. Certain features (such as automated order execution, options trading, or futures trading) may not be available or permitted in all jurisdictions.
